In this exclusive interview, we learned about some key aspects of this great company. Victor Machin Executive Director – todologistica.com/revistaprotagonista/RP46/mobile/index.html
What are the business units of the company and how have they had to adapt their operation in pandemic context?
In Ingo Logistics we focus on 4 business units that allow us to carry out commercial, industrial and service activities that the free zone regime promotes. Our business units are:
Machinery. We have acquired extensive experience in the management and storage of heavy machinery, containers, generators, etc.
Industry and assembly. We provide advice on the creation and implementation of industries. The free zone regime gives the opportunity to benefit from being exonerated from any tribute created or to be created.
Added value. We adapt our infrastructure and our work team to meet the requirements they raise us. We have faced different challenges, from having to adapt products to the requirements required by the different markets to the development of an input bulking project, through the construction of a loading child.
Rotation products. The products are varied, with different dimensions, packaging and specifications. Versatile structures and adaptable to each need raised by customers.
Pandemia challenged us to continue providing the same quality of services to our clients minimizing the risks of infection of our workers. Our strategy was the division of the staff into teams, turning us in person and working from home. In this way there were always representatives of each area in our facilities.
How is Ingo Logistics prepared to be able to capture more businesses in 2022?
The process of capturing new businesses to use our country and develop in Uruguay, is a constant search for opportunities, both for current and potential customers. Our search is based on the confidence that we have already generated and we continue to generate every day, in the different markets we are, supporting ourselves in the advantages of legal certainty and seriousness with which, in Uruguay their government and its people act. This is a source of inexhaustible trusted resources, when proposing that our services from Uruguay are an advantage for the development of sustainable businesses over time.
In recent years we have joined the team immoves Valeria Vera, who is our executive in the sales area. His experience in the field of more than 15 years, added to the experience that the entire Inglage team has, with more than 10 years building projects together with customers of various items, allows us to be well prepared to expand the operation of our current customers and stay open and flexible to new challenges. With what we call intelligent logistics adapted to each existing or potential client, we seek more companies to be established in a free zone and from here they can expand to the region and the world.
What are the company's projects for 2022 and how do you think foreign trade can re-considerate with more expectations of new treaties outside Mercosur?
The company comes in continuous growth in equipment, infrastructure and improvement in the integrated IT processes. By 2022, investments focused on improving the service are raised, always aimed at strengthening customer confidence and improving procedures. With regard to Mercosur, for our business it was a before and after after the real application in the practice of derived certificates, since various options were opened to explore Mercosur and internal businesses. We understand that Mercosur is a very powerful integration tool for the businesses in the region; We also believe that it cannot be the only alternative or a means that makes other options not possible. The versatility that today given interconnection and virtuality generates endless instruments and possibilities to be able to demonstrate the potential that Uruguay has as a door to the markets of Latin America and from Latin America for the rest of the world.
Why do you think that Uruguay is a good place to invest and how developed is the logistics to deal with the growing needs of the industry?
We believe that our country has many strengths so that investors can install their companies and decide to function as regional hub.
From political and social stability with clear rules, the qualification of international organizations that define it as a country with high levels of equity, transparency, democracy, exchange freedom and free availability of currencies to, from our point of view, the quality of life , with low levels of corruption and crime, which we consider very important factors for the people we live and work here. In addition, the optical fiber facilitates communication with the world in 90% of households, the short times to move, free spaces and care that invite outdoor activities allowing a healthy life balance. Labor laws with which foreign persons acquire rights immediately. Of course the fiscal and customs benefits that allow certain laws such as the free zone regime.
As for logistics, Uruguay is located in a strategic area with very good maritime, river, air and terrestrial connectivity with the region. We are aware that we have development opportunities in the rail network by connecting different parts of the country, allowing optimizing loads, reducing costs and road circulation. A clear example would be the connection of the ports of Colonia and Juan Lacaze with Montevideo and the port of Nueva Palmira with different parts of the country.
