In addition to the use of new technological tools for local storage and distribution, internationally, logistics companies have also incorporated their own to improve their services.
In this sense, the executive director of Inmove Logistics, Víctor Machín, pointed out that the technology behind intelligent logistics "the first thing it gives you is confidence. What happens to all of us who do logistics is that your client gives you their most precious asset, which is their product, technology generates confidence that your product is where we say it is. It also makes you have your stock at the moment, you do not need the human being to say how much of what product I have, to offer to the end customer."
Meanwhile, he maintained that they are already working on the incorporation of new technologies, such as blockchain, and the possibility of carrying out transactions with cryptocurrencies.
“What is coming in logistics with respect to technology is the blockchain, to be able to identify where the product is, through RFID (radio frequency tags), from the moment it leaves the supplier, it comes to the distribution center and while it passes through a port, it will read that label and the blockchain itself will generate that information so that it reaches one of the parties that have the token,” he stated.
“Even at the purchase level, the blockchain generates trust in you, because logistics is one thing, but the purchase, when you buy it in the United States or Europe and you need to finance it with a bank letter of credit, although the cost is very great because you need the development, tomorrow you will not need the bank letter of credit, because once the token has passed, the money is released,” he added.
Meanwhile, for the use of cryptocurrencies, he pointed out that they are still generating the logistics chain to have suppliers and buyers who are “encouraged,” which is still “very green.”
